On 26th March, Tuesday, Canva Workshop was held at Shikharapur Community Learning Center in its Agriculture Learning Research Center(ALRC) conference room focusing on staff members and teachers. A group of 11 people attended the Canva Refresher Workshop. The workshop was conducted by the third year students of Bachelor in Major Arts studying at St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar with technical support from Shikharapur Community Learning Center. Ms. Mallika Giri and Elan Magar lead the training. It was a beginner friendly workshop aimed to equip participants with essential design skills using Canva, a user-friendly graphic design platform.
The workshop commenced with an introduction to canva, highlighting its features and applications. The participants learned about the wide range of design elements available in Canva. The presentation emphasized Canva’s versatility in creating various visual content, such as brochures, banners, presentations, resumes, and social media posts. Following the presentation, there was an interactive demonstration which showcased the practical applications of Canva’s features.
The participants were guided through the process of creating a CV, presentation, a visually appealing photo collage, a vibrant social media post, etc. The concepts covered in the presentation were put into practice during these demonstrations. The participants after learning the design skills can now create visually appealing content for their roles within the community learning center and educational settings. The Workshop sets the foundational base for the participants to delve deeper into the Canva that will empower them to utilize it effectively for personal and professional use.
