On 2nd November 2022, a delegates team which consists of Vice President of ONGD-FNEL Luxembourg Mr. Claude Kaiser, Board Member Fons Weitzel and International Commissioner of Luxembourg Scouts Federation, Mrs. Laurence Vervier visited Shikharapur CLC project. The team reached in Pharping on 1st November. The team visited different touristic places of historic village Pharping. The team led by Mr. Claude visited Shikharapur Open School and observed different levels. Open School is mainly for school drop outs managed by Shikharapur CLC where they get free education. It is an alternative schooling program affiliated to Nepal Government.
Later, the team observed Agriculture Learning Resource Centre (ALRC) Building which was inaugurated by Mr. Nicolas Magnette on 29th October 2022. Mr. Niroj Shrestha, Program Manager of SCLC, defined different plans within ALRC and also managed their short tour to Shikharapur Campus, Montessori Building and Bottle Houses Project. The team also observed few entrepreneur members’ farm while they walk towards Bottle House. After observing the different activities of ONGD-FNEL supported SCLC program, Mr. Shrestha gave a short progress report during his presentation. He also screened few videos associated with the project.
In totality, the team learned many things regarding ONGD FNEL support project. They also provided different ideas during the interaction. Moreover, the upcoming Luxembourg Scouts Camp site observation, idea generation and brainstorming also took place during the visit. The whole team members shared their happiness to be part of this visit and they showed their excitement for the upcoming scouts camp during 2023 April.
