Today marked the formal start up of the “Natural and Organic Fertilizer Production Learning and Production Center,” a pioneering initiative aimed at producing high-quality vermi-compost.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Shyam Bahadur Khatri, Chairman of Dakshinkali Municipality Ward No. 5, who officially launched the vermi-composting plant. The program was chaired by Apsara Bisunke and attended by several notable guests, including Municipal Executive Member Suresh Basyal, Shyam Bahadur KC, President of Shikharapur Community Learning Center (CLC), Municipal Members Srijana Bisunke and Madan Kumar Maharjan, Niroj Shrestha, Director of SCLC, along with technical officers from the Agriculture and Cattle Development Branches of Dakshinkali Municipality.

Following the formal proceedings, a comprehensive training session on vermi-compost production was conducted for the enterprising women farmers. This training, which will continue in practical sessions over the coming days, is designed to equip the participants with the necessary skills to produce organic fertilizers, thereby fostering sustainable farming practices and enhancing their economic independence.

The establishment of this center not only underscores the commitment of the Bottle House Women Entrepreneur Farmers Group to environmental sustainability but also represents a new dimension in the field of women entrepreneurship. This initiative is expected to serve as a model for other communities, demonstrating the potential of women-led enterprises in driving agricultural innovation and contributing to the local economy.
