Mr. Rammani Kafle, Chief Administrative Officer of Dakshinkali Municipality, and Mr. Laxman Dahal, Education Officer and Under Secretary and Information Officer Mr. Giri Raj Khanal of the municipality, conducted a monitoring and observation visit to the Shikharapur Community Learning Center on 2082 Kartik 18. The main objective of the visit was to assess the ongoing institutional activities, their community impact, and the future plans of the organization.
During the visit, the team gathered detailed insights about the Community Empowerment Project for Sustainable Development through Continuing Education, Climate Action, and Sustainable Agriculture, as well as the Agricultural Women’s Entrepreneurship and Open Education Project, both implemented with the support of the Luxembourgish organization ONGD-FNEL Scouts and Guides. The officers thanked the organization as the projects actively organizing agricultural trainings, meetings, conferences, and matching grant programs in collaboration with Dakshinkali Municipality and its respective agricultural, livestock, and educational departments.
The monitoring team praised the center’s consistent and effective efforts in empowering the local community through sustainable development activities. They emphasized the importance of continuing and expanding such impactful programs in the coming years. Furthermore, they suggested promoting self-sustainability approaches, encouraging community-based income-generating activities, and enhancing local participation to ensure that more people from Dakshinkali and nearby areas benefit from these meaningful initiatives.
