A short consultation meeting was held on 8th December 2024 at Innovation Hub (iHub, American Corner), Teku, Kathmandu to discuss the Climate Change and Biodiversity Baseline Study Report. The study is part of the project “Empowering Communities for Sustainable Development through Continued Education, Climate Action, and Sustainable Agriculture” in partnership with ONGD-FNEL Luxembourg. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Biodiversity (MECB), Luxembourg, under the project timeline of 2024–2028, through ONGD-FNEL.
The meeting was facilitated by a Climate Change and Biodiversity expert. Attendees included project staff, members of the research team, and board representatives. The project team presented the overall research methodology, study design, and key findings of the baseline study. The climate change study has taken place in Indrasarowar
Rural Municipality and Dakshinkali Municipality, where we adopted the methodology of Focused Group Discussions (FGDs), Key Informants Interview (KII), and Climate Conferences. The resource person provided instant, in-depth feedback, contributing significantly to the report’s improvement.
The consultation followed a participatory modality, with open discussions and focused feedback sessions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of the final report. Overall, the meeting was productive, achieving its purpose of refining the study with expert input. A final version of the report is now expected to incorporate the valuable feedback shared during the session.
