
Shikharapur Community Learning Center (SCLC) in coordination with the Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Promotion and Business Development Orientation Program at the Rural Municipality Hall, Khanikhet. The training was held under Climate and Sustainable Agriculture Project (102 Project) supported by ONGD-FNEL Luxembourg.
The program aimed to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs, youth, women’s groups, community learning center representatives, and local stakeholders to explore entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-employment and sustainable livelihoods. Participants gained practical insights into identifying business opportunities, developing entrepreneurial mindsets, and strengthening local enterprises.
The orientation was inaugurated by Mr. Dev Krishna Pudasaini, Chairperson of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, who attended as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in creating local employment and promoting economic growth within the municipality.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Nirmal Sigdel, Entrepreneurship Development Expert, who shared practical knowledge on entrepreneurship development, business planning, innovation, market opportunities, and enterprise management. The interactive discussions encouraged participants to think creatively and transform local resources into viable business opportunities.
The program concluded with a strong commitment from participants and stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen local businesses, and continue collaborative efforts for sustainable community development. Shikharapur Community Learning Center expressed its appreciation to Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, the resource persons, and all participants for making the program meaningful and successful. Ms. Lalita Lamichhane hosted the event as Field Coordinator of SCLC/ONGD-FNEL Proejct while Chairperson of Shikharapur CLC, Mr. Shyam KC also addressed the training. Ms. Sarita Nagarkoti, Agriculture Technical at SCLC also assisted the training for the management and logistics.
