Empowering Youth Through Bamboo Entrepreneurship Training

Shikharapur Community Learning Center (SCLC) is set to host the Youth Entrepreneurship Training on Bamboo and Souvenir Making, organized by the Social Development Office, Lalitpur, at the ALRC Building of SCLC.

Following interviews held on 26 August 2026, 25 youths have been selected from 28 applicants, with 3 applicants placed on hold. The training, led by Chief Trainer Mr. Ram Rai, will begin on 10 September 2026.

The initiative aims to transform local resources into meaningful livelihood opportunities. SCLC will further collaborate with Shikharapur Community Campus to support participants in developing start-up businesses and an incubation program, with support from the Bagmati Province Government.

With growing markets in Dakshinkali, Pharping’s tourism area, and Buddhist pilgrimage destinations, the training offers promising opportunities for young entrepreneurs to turn skills, creativity, and local bamboo resources into sustainable businesses.

The training is categorized at Level 1 which will run for 65 days (390 Working Hour).

From local resources to local enterprise—empowering youth to create their own opportunities.
