Shikharapur Open School and Rukmini Foundation jointly inaugurated 2nd Shift of Tailoring Training on 28th August 2022. Collaborating with SCLC, 2nd shift of the training is planned where 18 more participants are enrolled. There are 33 participants in total now. The program is organized at SCLC’s new Agriculture Learning Resource Centre building. The training was targeted for the participants of Open School and other deprived women who really want to do something for their livelihood. Rukmini Foundation is supporting this training financially.
Mr. Mohan Basnet, Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality inaugurated the training during a formal program. Mrs. Basanti Dongol Tamang, Deputy Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality, Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Bhola Chapagain, Chief of Educaiton, Youth and Sports Department, Managing Director of National Manas Bikas Training Centre Mr. Mukunda Bohora and other guests were present in the program.
Dpy. Mayor said, “There has been drastic changes in the concept of training these days. We must focus on entrepreneurship once we complete the training. We have developed Koseli Ghar for the marketing of goods produced locally and there are more centres where women can get advanced training in our own municipality.” She thanked all the organizers for the best selection of participants and she wished all the participants for a greater success.
Mayor Mohan Basnet also congratulated the successful candidates. He also thanked the organizers for the great concept of encouraging entrepreneurship. “We have many places where we can engage the trained man power. I am much hopeful that each of you will do some business. I am happy to hear that this training is going to be intensive. I am always ready on behalf of my municipality for your further training until you become entrepreneur. I may help in this campaign from municipal side.”, said Mayor Basnet. He also shared his happiness to see many enthusiastic trainees in the hall.
Chief Executive Officer of Rukmini Foundation, Mrs. Usha Adhikari shared about the training objective and the mission of Foundation to motivate women in entrepreneurship. She also expressed happy to see enthusiastic trainees gathered as per the objective of the training.
SCLC has plan to organize 2nd shift of intensive training for 18 more participants. The minimum condition of this training is that the trainees must to some business once they complete the training. SCLC has plan to start a tailoring centre within organization premises to engage few trained manpower. SCLC also plans to collaborate with Dakshinkali Koseli Ghar (Souvenir Shop) initiated by Dakshinkali Municipality.
