Life of a man is full of struggles but it can be more struggling due to the ups and downs taking place. Events that happen in the course of life change the whole life of a person which can be positive Change or negative change. This is the story of Chhiring Bal who is trying to make his life comfortable despite the problems caused by unpleasant events that took place at some point. Currently, he is physically disabled but this is not his congenital problem. As a young man he had this problem which is much complicated but also full of dreams for life. His confidence is high.

Currently, Chhiring is studying in class 10 online at Shikharapur Open School. He is studying online because he is unable to walk. This online class has been conducted specially for him. It is convenient for him as he has a good internet facility at home. He also has a mobile repairing shop in Fakhel. He had gone to Kathmandu for training with the help of his uncle. He had taken mobile repairing training from Kathmandu with the financial support of Plan International and by doing the same work, he is making a living for his family.

Chhiring Bal lives in Indra Sarovar rural municipality 4 of Makwanpur district. He was born in Kartik, 2045 BS.  His childhood was well spent. His parents had the mentality that children should be educated despite their poverty. His father worked as a laborer and paid for his schooling. He is currently living with his mother, father, brother, sister-in-law and wife and one daughter. After studying up to class 5 in a local school, he studied up to class 8 at Kalika Secondary School. Due to his physical disability, he was unable to go to school regularly and his education was impaired.

“I used to go to school one hour earlier than my other friends but I always reached later than others. For others it was a 20-minute journey but for me it took me hours. Because of the difficulty of walking, I could not go to school regularly and had to dropout” – says Chhiring

His school life was fun but at the same time it was very difficult. Despite his physical disability, he did not feel any discomfort at home or at school. At first, everything was fine, then suddenly his legs stopped moving and now he can walk here and there with the help of a wheelchair only.

He has also taken computer training.

“I took mobile repairing training and made some money from it but with the passage of time the use of smart phones has increased and now it is a bit difficult for me. I only know how to repair keypad mobiles. But I’m in the process of learning. Even if I have to go to Kathmandu to learn and do this job, I will do that. ”  – Chhiring Bal

Currently, he is very happy to be able to study online, but he is thinking about how to reach the examination center. He is also preparing to take home tuition in Mathematics, Science and English subjects. But the teacher will have to go to his house and teach. “I will prepare for the exams myself but I would be grateful if there will be an arrangement to take me to the examination center by the organization or from the village. This would be a great help to disabled people like me.” – he says

In fact, Chhiring has taken it as an opportunity to study in this situation.

In the end, we can learn a lot from the biography of Chhiring Bal. His strength is his self-confidence, which does not make him feel weak. Even in the midst of physical disability, he supports his family financially by working long hours. This courage and fortitude of his will be a lesson for others. We believe that it is through this confidence that he will complete his studies and become an example to others. Best wishes in advance to Chhiring jii.
