Elevate Skills USA, a non-profit skill development project based in the USA, has extended its services to Pharping Kathmandu through collaboration with Shikharapur Community Learning Center (CLC). This initiative aims to provide free comprehensive training to empower youths with essential skills for job readiness and career
advancement. Shikharapur CLC has generouslyprovidedthe ALRC building, constructed with great support of ONGD-FNEL, Luxembourg and necessary laptops with support of Rukmini Foundation to accommodate more than 65 applicants. Shikharapur CLC is collaborating in overall management of the training. The training was inaugurated by Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality Mr. Mohan Basnet in presence of other dignitaries from local government.
The 3-month training program, running from January 15 to April 15, 2024, is designed to equip participants with practical skills in accounting and finance, computerized accounting, office management, professional setting communication, personality development, and interview preparation. Upon successful completion of the courses, participants will receive a certificate from Elevate Skills USA, validating the acquired skills and enhancing participants’ employability.
The training methodology goes beyond traditional teaching approaches, emphasizing interactive learning techniques and incorporating fun refreshment programs to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment. Each week concludes with a 20-minute digital evaluation test followed by a motivational speech delivered by Mr. Rajesh Trivedi, founder of Elevate Skills USA, professionally qualified and has worked with large multinational companies in India, Fiji, New Zealand and USA at responsible positions.
The overarching objective is to equip youth with job-relevant skills and confidence needed to secure employment opportunities, improve communication abilities, and actively participate in interactive educational experiences, ultimately leading to successful job placements.
The collaboration between Elevate Skills USA and Shikharapur CLC underscores a commitment to providing accessible and effective skill development opportunities in Pharping. By combining resources and expertise, the initiative aims to empower youths, boost their employability, and contribute to their personal and professional growth.
