Dakshinkali Municipality, September 10, 2023 – The 15th week of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Training, a collaborative effort led by technical experts from Dakshinkali Municipality, concluded successfully on September 10, 2023. This remarkable training program, supported by ONGD-FNEL Luxembourg, has not only imparted valuable knowledge but also transformed 32 dedicated farmers into future IPM trainers.
Throughout these 15 weeks, the technical personalities of Dakshinkali Municipality exhibited unwavering dedication and hard work, ensuring the continuous education and enthusiastic engagement of the participating farmers. Their commitment played a pivotal role in reaching this significant milestone.
The support and cooperation received for fund management from ONGD-FNEL Luxembourg have been instrumental in the journey towards success. The partnership between stakeholders, including enthusiastic farmers, has created a thriving learning environment. Numerous topics and content have been covered by the trainers, equipping the farmers with valuable skills and knowledge in Integrated Pest Management.
Looking ahead, the training program is set to conclude on its 16th week. However, the impact of this initiative is already evident as the participating farmers are now prepared to become trainers themselves, sharing their expertise with others in the community.
To celebrate this achievement and honor the hardworking farmers and IPM graduates, a grand graduation certification program is scheduled to take place in the upcoming week. The event will be hosted at the Agriculture Learning Resource Centre (ALRC), where the participants will receive recognition for their dedication and commitment to sustainable farming practices.
